Bio-Rad is a global leader in life sciences and clinical diagnostics, operating more than 40 legal entities across the EMEA region. Our Controllership function, led by the US-based team, ensures accurate, timely, and efficient financial reporting in line with group standards.
We are looking for a detail-oriented accounting professional to oversee US GAAP accounting for a portfolio of EMEA legal entities. In this role, you will support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes, ensure compliance with SOX requirements, and collaborate closely with cross-functional finance teams across the region and at Corporate HQ in the US.
This position supports entities across multiple countries, including Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Lead timely and accurate monthly close activities in line with group reporting deadlines, policies, and guidelines.
- Deliver US GAAP quarter-end and year-end reporting using group tools such as BlackLine and FCC.
- Prepare accurate and audit-ready balance sheet reconciliations with proper supporting documentation.
- Support trial balance reviews and perform meaningful variance analysis.
- Assist with quarterly tax provisioning activities, including journal entries and tax reconciliation preparation.
- Contribute to internal and external audit processes by preparing reconciliations, supporting documents, and audit schedules.
- Manage SAP ledger updates and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Support local statutory reporting requirements, including statistical surveys and tax-related filings.
- Coordinate and respond to tax audit queries in collaboration with senior team members.
- Provide professional and timely support to stakeholders by managing finance queries through ServiceNow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Revenue Accounting, Payroll, FP&A, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Audit.
- Contribute to process improvements, standardization initiatives, and automation projects within the finance function.
What You’ll Bring:
- Solid accounting knowledge with experience in US GAAP reporting and financial close processes.
- Experience working in an international, multi-entity environment (EMEA exposure is an advantage).
- Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, audit processes, and internal controls (SOX knowledge preferred).
- Familiarity with financial systems such as SAP, BlackLine, FCC, and ServiceNow is an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different functions and geographies.
- Proactive, team-oriented attitude with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.
