Bio‑Rad is looking for a dynamic BioPharma Key Account Manager to serve as the central field‑based contact for a selected portfolio of biopharma customers (medium and big size). In this strategic role, you will drive the implementation of our company's strategy, foster strong customer relationships, and deliver year‑over‑year double‑digit growth of our Life Science Group (LSG) Core business.
How You’ll make an impact:
- Act as the primary field contact for designated biopharma customers, implementing Bio‑Rad’s commercial strategy
- Achieve sales targets within assigned territories and customer accounts
- Build and maintain strong relationships with BioPharma customers through regular onsite visits and participation in scientific conferences and industry events
- Execute the regional sales strategy in close collaboration with the EMEA marketing team
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across the full Bio‑Rad Life Science product portfolio
- Support customer inquiries and coordinate with internal partners to ensure customer success and efficient use of resources
- Collaborate closely with Field Application Specialists and BioPharma Sales Specialists to support key evaluations and sales projects
- Report to the Field Sales Manger
- Promote Bio‑Rad as a leader in qPCR, ddPCR, proteomics, and related technologies, ensuring balanced sales across instruments and consumables
Reporting Responsibilities:
- Maintain CRM system, manage the sales process for all Bio-Rad product opportunities
- Deliver accurate of sales projections and revenue forecasts
- Gain market intelligence and provide feedback regarding new market trends and new product development opportunities
What You’ll Bring:
- Strong sales mindset with a customer‑oriented approach and the ability to open new doors
- Proven ability to build relationships and drive business growth
- Well organized individual with ability to establish short and long-term business objectives and have a demonstrable record of measuring performance toward those objectives
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), including sales and selling techniques skills, comfortable working in a matrix organization.
- Creative, highly motivated self-starter with good insight and problem-solving skills and highly able to effectively coordinate multiple tasks and projects.
- Strategic/consultative major/key account sales skills with solid business acumen, strong customer-facing presentation and communication skills
- Ability to understand and explain the business benefits of product features and capabilities, as well as illustrate effective benefits for the customer
- Ability to work at a strategic level within the account, however at the same time manage the detail with a hands-on mentality
- Ability to prioritize sales activities across several accounts to achieve agreed objectives
- Experience and expertise in pharmaceuticals and industry as well as Biotech companies/CRO/CDMO using solution selling
Education:
- MS or BS in biology or related science field with a minimum of 3 years bench experience in a life science research or industrial laboratory, PhD preferred
- Fluent in English – German and/or French language knowledge is a plus
- Full clean driving license
- Microsoft Outlook Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience:
- 3 -5+ years direct sales experience preferred in selling genomic and proteomic products with experience in Senior Sales position and/or Strategic Account Management, preferably with domain knowledge from Biotech and pharmaceutical industry
- Familiarity with key customer accounts and major research organizations in the region
- Existing network within biopharma accounts is desired
- Proficiency in organizing time and territory activities to efficiently maximize sales results
